PATI stands for Therapeutic Care Service for Children
(Servicio de Atención Terapéutica Infantil).
Child Therapeutic Assistance (PATI) is specialised support for children under the age of 18 with disabilities or dependency needs.
A qualified professional, known as a Child Therapeutic Assistance Professional, provides personalised support to the child in their school routines, leisure activities, or home environment.
Their role includes personal care, communication support, and daily planning, with a therapeutic and rehabilitative purpose.
The aim is to strengthen the child’s abilities, promote social inclusion, and increase autonomy from an early age. In this way, children with special needs can enjoy a fuller life and be better integrated into their environment.
